About the seminar
As part of the Belgian Days in Macao, the Chairman of the legendary Spa Francorchamps Formula 1 Grand Prix circuit, Mr. Melchior Wathelet, will be in Macao to present his vision of operating a race circuit in the competitive environment of 2024, the objectives underpinning his strategy and the link with tourism in the broader sense. The fan experience, the pairing of sports tourism and cultural events, the economic impact and the combination of performance and sustainability will be among the themes addressed.
In direct relation to these topics, Belgian innovative companies, world leaders in the
production and supply of high-level cultural and entertainment material and content, will be presenting the latest trends in the entertainment industry through an exchange on developments in the Global Market with a focus on location-based entertainment, the preservation and enhancement of local historical heritage, latest technological innovations in the field of display and visualization, artificial Intelligence in high-tech entertainment, etc.
Through a dynamic panel discussion, the participants will exchange ideas and illustrate practical applications that can directly support Macao’s entertainment sector. In the spirit of emphasizing creativity, technology, and artistic innovation, the following topics will be addressed, among others :
- the use of cutting-edge levitation technologies in both large-scale and more intimate settings to create captivating immersive environments;
- the transformation of traditional entertainment into more interactive and dynamic experience by means of Artificial Intelligence and projection technologies;
- from boutique installation to large-scale performances, integration of content with advanced scenography and innovative materials to transform any venue into an immersive experience and communicate with impact;
- organization of concerts and performances in unconventional venues to create a unique atmosphere that blends music, art, and technology.
All participants in the seminar are then invited to a reception on the patio of the cultural space Albergue SCM to mark the opening of exhibitions by various Belgian artists. In addition to presenting a combination of Portuguese dishes with Belgian beers, cocktails by a renowned mixologist as well as Belgian waffles, the event will feature a concert and DJ set by Belgian musicians.
